Buy Art Feel Good
It's been a fantastic art centric weekend for the Consuming Louisville contingent. Yesterday morning we did St. James (including the Un-Fair) and last night we hit Ashley Cecil's fabulous Art Party.
The Art Party was really fantastic and it taught me two very valuable lessons. First, I've got to get better about striking up conversations with people at parties. I'm just horrible at it. There seemed to be a very interesting, nice mix of people at the party but B and I mostly discussed the art a great deal and didn't really chat with anyone else. The second lesson is that if you go to an Ashley Cecil Art Party early attendence is mandatory because things start getting bought right out of the gate. There were probably 3 or 4 pieces that B and I were really, really interested in that were sadly already purchased by the time we got there shortly after 8PM. We love Ashley's work so much though we're going to hopefully commission a custom piece from her.
