The Sustainable City Series: Gardening & Landscaping
I'm not exactly sure what The Sustainable City Series is and Google has failed me but the flyer (PDF) I received in my inbox made this sound like an interesting event so I thought I'd pass it along.
Through the use of native plantings, rain barrels and other tools and techniques we can conserve resources while enhancing our natural surrounds. Please join us for an evening of discussion focused on how homeowners, business owners and related professionals can create healthy and resilient landscaped spaces that are beautiful, environmentally responsive, functional, manageable and enduring.

Claude Stephens, Education Director - Bernheim Arboretum and Research Forest
Jeneen Wiche, Host of NPR’s “HomeGrown”
Margaret Shea, Owner - Dropseed Native Plant Nursery
Phyllis Croce, Landscape Restoration Specialist - Metropolitan Sewer District

Just a note... the Sustainable City Series on Gardening and Landscaping will be at Glassworks instead of the Urban Design Studio (UDS). We have had so many RSVPs for this event that the UDS could not possibly accommodate everyone. Thanks.
