7:23pm Tornado or just really nasty stuff now at The Summit according to WLKY
7:24pm Storm moving into Oldham County, La Grange area
7:27pm Update from Highlands/Douglass Loop area no rain of consequence, only minor winds. Thus far we've dodged anything serious.
7:27pm WHAS & WLKY say most dangerous part of storms have cleared Louisville and are now heading for Goshen/Oldham County along 1-71
7:31pm More isolated thunderstorms coming from SE
7:37pm Weather.com says strong or severe thunderstorms until approx. 4AM
WHAS wants to force me to register before letting me see live storm radar info. WLKY gives instant access to info. Yay WLKY.com. WAVE3.com gives instant access as well.
7:52pm Lexington Road completely shut down at Cannon's Lane due to downed tree.Tree apparently fell onto a car, WITH A MAN IN IT, but the man is ok. All this according to WLKY.

I'm not saying that severe weather is anything to make fun of, but watching the local meteorolgists work themselves into an excited frenzy is just creepy.
I totally agree. At one point my partner and I were watching the WLKY guy and we came to the conclusion that he was giddily excited about the whole situation but was trying really hard to hide his giddiness. I guess if you're a meteorologist that's the kind of stuff you live for.
