Corbett's to Open December 15
Look for Corbett's menu? Here it is.Corbett's the new restaurant from Chef and owner Dean Corbett, of Equus, is opening this Saturday December 15, 2007. Corbett's, which resides in a historic 150-year-old house, features an upscale American menu that changes based on seasonal ingredient availability. Pricing for the a la carte menu ranges from $8.50 to $14 for starter courses and $22 to $49 for entrees. Five-course tastings are $65. Nine-course tastings are $100.
I'm pleased to say I counted three vegetarian entrées on the first week's menu (PDF). Even though this restaurant is in a part of town (far East End) that I go to very, very infrequently I'm planning a trip to Corbett's because they seem to be heeding the call for an upscale restaurant to understand that there are vegetarians and flexitarians looking to enjoy a fine dining experience in Louisville.
In addition to being vegetarian friendly Corbett's is doing some cool things with technology that make both the geek side of my brain and the foodie side of my brain really excited.
The Chef's Tasting Room, which accommodates eight, offers not only a specially designed tasting menu, but also the opportunity for guests to interact with chef Corbett and his team through state-of-the-art audio/visual equipment. Cameras, large screen televisions and microphones will link the table directly into the kitchen! That sounds cool doesn't it?
Reservations are accepted at Corbett's up to 60 days in advance. Corbett's is open for lunch (the lunch menu features some great sounding vegetarian options as well!) Tuesday through Friday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Dinner hours are 5 to 11 p.m. Monday through Saturday. For more information or to make reservations, call (502) 327-5058.
