Sharon Jones & The Dap Kings Tickets on Sale Saturday
I've had friends all over the place (LA, Atlanta, Brooklyn, Vancouver) who have seen Sharon Jones & The Dap Kings perform live and not a one of them has been disappointed. So I'm excited about the show Friday February 1 at Headliners, particularly since tickets are only $12. February 1 is quite a ways off but tickets go on sale this Saturday December 15 so make your plans and buy your tickets early either at ear X-tacy or www.ticketweb.com.
The show is 18 and over.
Unfamiliar with Jones? In an album review Rolling Stone said "Sharon Jones projects her gritty, credible, emotion-laden, stylistically undistinguished voice over some of the finest horn charts ever created for soul music." I very much dig music like that. Looking forward to this show.

I got to see Sharon Jones & The Dap Kings at the Monterey Jazz Festival in 2006 and they were amazing. I missed their recent performance in San Francisco. You will definitely have a great time.
