First Friday Trolley Hop February 1, 2008
- The Frazier Center is going to have live music proved by the Kyene Drum Ensemble of Louisville to kick off Black History Month.
- Actors theater is having an opening for the 14th Annual African American Art Exhibition at Actors Theater from 5-9PM. The exhibit runs through February 23, 2008, features 68 works by 34 artists.
- E&S Gallery on 10th street "invites you to the unveiling of The Jacob Lawrence Collection featuring Fine Art by Jacob Lawrence, Elizabeth Catlett, and Gwen Knight Lawrence.
The ribbon cutting will be at 5 pm, and the reception will be from 5:30-9 pm during the Trolley Hop.
- "In honor of Black History Month, Kentucky Museum of Art and Craft will showcase a selection of African American Quilts from the collection of Larry Hackley. The majority of the work in the exhibition comes from a group of four Mississippi Gulf Coast quilters, but the show also features two Gee's Bend quilts as well."
