Proof on Main Has a Well Stocked Bar

I finally had cause to visit Proof on Main one evening last week. Well, truthfully I was only in the bar. While there though I enjoyed a fine cocktail and a lovely assortment of cheeses. Proof was everything I imagined it to be. I mean that in both good and bad ways. Examples? It was as beautiful and lovely as I thought it would be. The staff was as pretty and uninterested as I thought they would be. Except for the manager. He was both pretty and nice. In fact he was so nice and customer oriented he totally made me not care about the surly bartender I dealt with.

What really impressed me about Proof though is that Branca Menta was proudly on the shelf. That of course means that I could have ordered my new winter cocktail, Good Night, Irene. There were two problems with ordering a Good Night, Irene though. First, it 65 degrees outside the evening I was there. I was in the mood for nothing winter related. Second, I'm fairly certain the surly bartender would have had no idea what I was talking about. Sure, I could have explained but what fun would that be?

So kudos to Proof for having a well stocked manager and a quite nice manager. I'd be returning for cocktails again soon.
