Louisville Veterinary Specialty and Emergency Services (LVSES)
Honestly, I can't say enough nice things about the folks at LVSES. The vet techs and reception staff are incredibly friendly and the vets themselves are amazing. They're very patient and accommodating to crazy dog people (um, like me) who are extremely concerned about their pets. Our dog actually ended up needing an extended stay in the hospital. The vet we mostly dealt with gave us regular updates, answered all of our questions and took all of our calls and stayed in touch with us day and night. She was absolutely amazing and we can't thank her enough for the great care she gave to Grace. We were allowed to visit whenever we wanted and were never made to feel as though we were too needy or overbearing. It was the best possible experience for an absolutely horrible situation.
Besides our personal needs LVSES is just cool to keep in mind for pet owners in general. They have an animal ophthalmologist, a rehab specialist and an exotic pet specialist on staff. They also have some alternative medicine treatments like acupuncture available as well. This is in addition to being a teaching hospital that focuses on dealing with emergencies and serious illnesses.

I'd love you forever and you'd get the attention of really smart local people.

You are absolutely right, LVSES is the best. I lost a dog to cancer and they provided great treatment and support in a very tough situation.
Ah Drew I'm sorry to hear about your dog but I'm glad LVSES was able to give you good support and care during that situation. I think that's the best compliment I can give them, that they give really good care and service during extremely difficult times and situations.
OH NO!! I had no idea about Grace! I am glad she is doing better!
Thanks SJ. Yeah she came down with something called Pancreatits and it was pretty serious. 4 nights in the hospital later she's all better now.
