Frog Calls and Toad Songs at Jefferson Memorial
I grew up on farm and though I love the city one of the things I miss about my parents place is the way it sounds at night. It's really not an exaggeration to say there is a whole symphony of sound out in the country after the sun goes down.
The night is the best time to hear the calls and songs of the amphibian world. Forest staff will introduce you to some of the more common species of frogs and toads found in this area and how to identify them by their calls.
Learn why their existence is so crucial to that of our own. You will even learn how to make some calls of your own to communicate with these incredible creature.
Program meets in the Horine Reservation.
Reservations are required in advance.
