Vote for Louisville and Bring SportsCenter to Town

| | Comments (2) | Online , Sports
SportsCenter is taking a road trip this summer. As we all know they could do a lot worse than visiting Louisville on said road trip but for some reason they need some encouragement. Apparently we all need to vote online and convince the ESPN folks to come here instead of Artesia, NM, Long Beach, CA or South Bend. From a sports perspective Artesia and Long Beach ain't got nothing on us. South Bend? That's a tighter race so, as my father likes to joke, vote and vote often.

It's time to vote for the 20th city to be visited by "SportsCenter" this summer. Vote in the poll on the right for Artesia, N.M., Long Beach, Calif., Louisville, Ky., or South Bend, Ind.

"SportsCenter" will announce which of these four cities you picked and the other 18 finalists starting next week. "SportsCenter" will visit these 19 cities and Green Bay in July. Then your vote will determine which town most deserves the title.
If if you don't dig SportsCenter (and many, many people don't) let me just say that the show coming to town would be good exposure for our city and it would bring some extra tourists and tourists dollars to town. That's always a good thing for our local businesses.
