Make Your Own Dia De Los Muertos Altar

| | Comments (0) | Art , Downtown
Is it wrong to say I really dig Dia De Los Muertos? Well, I do. So it only makes sense that I'd dig an artist's workshop for creating Dia De Los Muertos altars.

Workshop participants will have the opportunity to create altars or displays which celebrate 'Dia De Los Muertos': Day of the Dead. Using a variety of materials, an assemblage art piece will reflect honored memories of ancestors or one's own present day reflections. Pieces may incorporate items students bring with them in addition to those provided. Students will learn different paint and application techniques. Suzanne Martino uses a variety of material to make mixed media assemblages. She likes to think of herself as an arranger more than a painter. She maintains a studio a Mellwood Art Center.
