Hear Me On the Radio

| | Comments (4) | Radio
I will be a guest today on WFPL's State of Affairs discussing "Our Evolving Relationship with Technology." Tune in to find out what my voice sounds like and to see if I have any thoughts at all on our relationship with technology. Spoiler alert: I do.

With every new gadget, website, social networking interface, and smart phone, the older things they're replacing fall further from favor. Who keeps up with these tech changes, and who is sticking with the programs they used when they first started computing? Does the difference between Luddites and early adopters fall along age lines, or is it personality? Tune in this Tuesday for a conversation about our evolving relationship with all things digital - and call to tell us how you use technology.
WFPK is taking a special round of dedications to be shared on-air during the late evening hours of Valentine's Day.

This Valentine's Day, we want you to be able to use our airwaves to send some love to the special person/people in your life. Drop evening host Nick James a line and make a dedication! Tell him the song you'd like to hear, who it should go to and a brief message; then tune in Valentine's Day evening from 9 pm to 1 am and listen for your dedication!
Even cooler than the dedication is the contest you're automatically entered in when you send your dedication in.

When you send in your request, you're automatically entered to win the Penguin Passion Package, courtesy of the 21C Hotel. It includes an overnight stay, champagne and chocolate strawberries or bourbon and house-made confections upon arrival, rose petals, valet parking, dinner for two in Proof on Main, half-hour his/her massages, and a king-sized bed. If used Valentine weekend, it's valued at over $400.00! Oh, we'll also throw in a copy of the Louisville Is For Lovers CD 2008!
So be clever and come up with a good dedication to send in. I want to hear some good ones.
