geekdinner.gifI'm an unapologetic geek so I'm terribly excited about the next edition of the Louisville Geek Dinner which is on January 24. Any thing described as a "social networking event for people who love technology" sounds like fun not least of all cause I bet there will be other introverts discussing really interesting, geeky things (other introverts be sure to read How To Network: For Introverts) and that's always fun.

This is super late notice but it sounds like a good time so I thought I'd pass it on anyway.

Louisville Soiree Society's next soiree is this Monday, Oct. 8th at Basa. For $34, which includes tax and tip, you will receive a three course meal with your choice of three different entrees. This is an incredible value for such an exquisite new restaurant. Anyone is welcome. Simply RSVP to louisvillesoireesociety@gmail.com and bring the $34 in cash. The dinner starts at 7:30pm. For more information about the society read below.

Louisville Soiree Society is Louisville's newest and hottest social club. Bringing together Louisville's most interesting people to dine at Louisville's best independently-owned restaurants deserves Louisville Soiree Society the right to call itself "Louisville's Greatest". Each month Louisville Soiree Society choses a different restaurant to eat a three course meal. From the beginning, Louisville Soiree Society's mission is to support our thriving locally owned restaurant scene. From our members, Louisville Soiree Society is just another way to Keep Louisville Weird. Restaurants Louisville Soiree Society have have dined at before include Artemisia, The Mayan Cafe, Havana Rumba and Proof on Main.

Who should join? Anyone who likes to meet new people and explore the culinary arts Louisville's local restaurants have to offer are encouraged to join. Meals, including tax and tip, typically cost anywhere between 20 and 35 dollars depending on the restaurant. Members typically save 20 to 25% off dinning with Louisville Soiree Society than if they were to dine at the same restaurant on their own. To join simply email louisvillesoireesociety@gmail.com or ask to be friends with LSS on myspace. There are no joining fees or monthly dues. Just come, eat and be merry!
